‘Don't you know who we are? We're Division I athletes.'”
Sorry Courtney but we don't need you that bad.
I would say we need him just not the cocky self-entittled attitude he has!
There have been players who have done much worse allowed on the team.
uh-oh.......he will either make major adjustments to his attitude or.......go somewhere else
Hopefully when he gets here he will get focused on his school work and football...could be much worse...given the current state of things these days who knows what really happend...keep your nose clean and get to Norman.
what is your problem, the line reads Somebody (in the car) said, ‘Don't you know who we are? We're Division I athletes.'” It doesnt say CG said it, You know folks hes what 19 20 good GOD please dont take the hillbilly mentality When I drove up on my visit to see Barry and Billy Tubbs we were so well you can figure it out but I looked up and saw a sign that said welcome to Wichita Wrong yes lost oh hell yes ,but our driver was sober we just were so happy we lost track of what was going on anyway its suspision>?? right geez if its the entitlement age then isnt he entitled to a fair hearing, innocent until proven guilty?? oh no thats different right
Win today, or you'll be a loser tomorrow!
wow you are hard to understand.
If true, very simple...rescind his scholarship and move on. This $hit usually does'nt correct itself!!!!
wrong, we dont need some newcomer ruining our reputation it took decades to build........aka tiny gallon
This will not go down well with Stoops....an entitlement 'tude and hasn't set forth on campus. Good thing we're bringing in lots of receivers.
I don't necessarily see any entitlement in what he did. Please explain.

Trying to pin the comment about D1 athletes on CG is wrong without something more concrete. According to the article there were 5 people in the car. Which one made that comment?
Also, fairness seems to require that the "spokesman" may have had a few drinks, which may have affected his propensity to have diarreah of the mouth.
That said, didn't a couple of other OU players get stopped by the police resulting in a DUI for one of them and an obstructing for the other one?
I don't think it would be reasonable for OU to decide derailing a kids career path was the solution to every misdemeanor, especially when it seems to be a case of being stupid more than anything.
gardner to switzer............wanna beer?
switzer to gardner............only if its a pearl
gardner: it aint a pearl, but its division 1 stuff . how about a bud
switzer: nah, I havent smoked since dupree was here
gardner: think bob will care if we have a little fun?
switzer well, he doesnt want you on the cover of SI
Guys I spent 27 years in law enforcement and this my not be much. It may just be a case of a cop not wanting to take any lip off a bunch of young guys, as far as back up goes, any time you have more than two people in the car it's policy in most cities to call for back up. Now Garder runing is lip is what got him in trouble.
Big deal... OU needs some tough kids. By the way Tony Jefferson got the same thing when Kenny Still got his DUI. He will sit out one game and run extra.
I'm hell when I'm well.. And, I am never sick!
5 guys in the car. It's amazing how the people you hang out with can influence your behavior. Most likely these were JC guys or maybe not even that.
I would like to think that when he gets to OU, he will be hanging around a better quality of people who will help him be a little bit more responsible and a little less attitude.
Let's not rush to judgment.
No different than some rich hot shot kid laying into the cops...do you know who I am! Think that is self explanatory.
I say he stays on he team unltil he makes a youtube video and raps about guns and killin people.
Then dont try to understand me or is it your world and we are just trying to fit into your lifestyle; you got a book or tv show im truly interested in what you have to say no really
What's "tough" about being belligerent to a cop? That's just being stupid.

Man some people have a stick up their butt. It could have been worse. He could have peed on a dumpster at 2 am.
There are countless kids that get in to this "minor" trouble. Hell, even Ryan Broyles had his share and he will go down as one of the all time greats. Point is, these are kids. For those of you who don't remember what it was like to be one, it's not always cut and dry. These are different times and with the social media reaching as far as it does it makes it that much harder to do anything minor or not without the world knowing what you did. I think once he gets here the people around him will influence who he becomes as a student athlete. Until he screws that up get off his back and let him be.
