8% success rate so far...
Thats ugly....and not good. No defending that.
Wow. Now only 2,950 more misses to winge about. We should all go get in a corner and cry.
Don't let any facts get in your way.

I'm a real adult fan, not like all you other spoiled babies. You don't know anything about me, but I can make wild accusations about you.
of course let the spin begin!
"Quality over quantity."
You can go ahead and try that corner thing. Just let us know how it works for you, once you get done with that head in the sand thing.
You don't get it. WE ARE NOT GETTING THE ONES WE REALLY WANT. Yes they will probably end up in 3 or 4 years being descent players and some maybe good players. Yes we won 10 games, but there is a big difference between 10 wins and a NC. If you are good with the players we are getting then you are good with the lets win 10 games and say how good a job this staff did with what they had. I say BS. Coaches have to change and adapt to the times. And the "crazy world of recruiting" has seemed to have left this group of coaches behind.
rover is one of those "stoops can do no wrong" . Lets see his smart comments when tcu, baylor, kansas,wv,tx all beat our ass because "we got outplayed, we got outcoached, we got out recruited, This is not the Oklahoma I know.
My true worry is two fold...
OU couldn't beat a Top 10 team at home in 2012, so they wanted to upgrade the trenches.
Now, they can't upgrade.

Yes I get it. There are a dozen posters on this board who are hell bent on starting 42 threads every day to either repeat the same sky is falling complaints, to lobby for everyone to believe them about what bums the coaches are, or to do everything they can to discourage any recruit from considering the Sooners. What is the point of thread after thread of doing nothing but lobbying against the coaches. Pitiful. It's like certain people won't be happy until they poison every thread. At least be original in the crying.
I would take that bet all day long.
Sounds just like the genius who predicted we would finish no better than 6th or 7th in the conference after the KSU game.
Does it never get old to live in a continual state of drama?
I'm not saying our coaches can't coach. It's obvious they can. But name me one game changer on the DL or OL that we have. And don't say we have young guys waiting or that we don't know until they get here. If we had them they would have played this year and made somewhat of a difference this year, and if they were on their way we wouldn't have just offered them last week. We need difference makers and we are just not getting them. The question is do you want to continue to share B12 titles or do you want to compete for BCS titles?
Plus I bet money every coach in the nation recruiting against OU is steering the recruits to read OU boards.
To be fair, there were players on this years D-line that were extremely highly rated and projected to be "difference makers". But they didn't pan out. But I'm guessing some folks were celebrating like we had done something on their signing day.
Just another example of why there is no reason to get too high or too low in February.
If they are smart they are.
I agree... But it has to change. We can score points and are db's can cover, but they can't cover for 10 sec while the qb has all day to throw the ball. On offense we can score and score some more, but to get to the next level we will have to be able to run and we can't. Maybe the offense is a mind set, since we throw so much. I just know it has to change.
Which of the guys that we missed on would have come in and started next year?
No argument from me on what you posted.
But I'm willing to give the new DC more than one year to get it done.
Some of these guys would turn over a third of the staff or more after every season, as if there are no negative impacts from that sort of chaos.
So Now we must all be bitching about what MIGHT happen, but hasn't happened, and isn't likely to happen. IF in the unlikely event it happens next year, yes I will gladly go cry with you in the giant pity party at your house.
It happened in 2011.
KSU wasn't all that with their two star roster, getting thumped by Oregon in 2012.
OSU, WVU, TCU, and Baylor gave us all we could handle as well in 2012, which isn't going to impress many Sooner fans.
That is simply false. You may be stuck in the mindset that becamse prevelant in 2009 and 2010, but last season was the 2012 season, and your view of OU's running game is verifiably inaccurate.
Matteon I disagree with you. When you line up in the shotgun on a third and one or third and two and cannot run the ball then you are not a good rushing team. You can pull out all the stats you want but OU is not good enough to line up and run the ball whenever we want to run. We are not physical enough which is why I am guessing that Bob said he wants us to be more physical next year.
Are u kidding me. When we have to run we can't. When we line up and everyone in the stadium knows its a run we can't run the ball. Our offense is unstoppable between the 20's. Why is that? Oh I know... Because we can't run the ball. And don't give me some bell dozer stat. We can't do it and we can't stop it. I don't care how bad we beat up on the other horrible defense's in the B12. When it comes to big game against GOOD TEAMS, can't stop it can't do it.
I think Matteon is using the increase in YPG in 2012 to validate the increase of the running game, but I will let him defend his theory which the data seems to validate. Defense I like your summary I wonder how 2013 OL recruiting stats compare to prior years and of those who OU came in second in prior years I wonder how those OL turned out.
