Anyone know how he is doing over at Mizzou? Damn, wish the Sooners would of landed this guy. He will without a doubt prove to be the best college WR since Calvin "Megatron" Johnson.
Best since who? How about Blackmon, Broyles? I would not trade Metoyer or Shepherd. But that's just me.

Heard he has been working at Tight End. Not really surprised. He definitely could be the best tight end since (Gresham)?
he is currently running second string TE or "Y" receiver in their offense.
All we really know is DGB will be an over rated bust, a superstar but most likely something in-between. Just because a kid looks great on paper doesn't make it so. Great high school football players rarely morph into All World Pro's. Let's see how his Frosh year turns out before we declare him the greatest receiver of all time.

If this is true, I wonder if he was perhaps a bit oversold. I can't imagine the cupboard is that full at either the WR or TE spots at Missouri. Maybe playing at a small school made him look better than he actually was.
I'm good with what we got at WR, but he would be a huge compliment to the class as a TE.
My opinion stands, the best college WR since Calvin "Megatron" Johnson; with time he will prove to be. Your opinions are respected and appreciated.
Will be better off without him that Mizzu will be with him.
"With Nebraska trying to leave, we felt like we needed to send them out with a loss, and we did." -Ryan Broyles-
Time will tell...
Watched him play against a the 4A state champs last year and he went across the middle and got smacked and didn't go back to the middle again. Great speciman, but honestly reminded me of Roy Williams from Texas
I honestly can't count how many of these "5 star" "Must Get" kind of guys we've missed out on over the years, only to hear later on that they never lived up to the hype. I'll bet he does well, but I too would take Metoyer.
He is a true WR much like Julio Jones.. why in the hell are the moving him to TE? Better question is who is going to throw him the ball?
I'm hell when I'm well.. And, I am never sick!
Crooner: I, and most here, don't share your opinion. Thanks for offering it though.

I am the morning DJ on WOLD
Yeah, y'all know more about him than OU coach's. I remember y'all having a hard-on for this guy, before he chose Mizzou.
He was always seen as a couple years away from being a star. He requires some development.
Most of the big stars at receiver we missed out on turned out to be superstars. :-/
Things are rarely perfect or totally bad.
Reality=closer to the middle.
Never as bad as it seems, never as good as it seems.
Everybody can have an opinion, but how is he going to be the best when he's not as good as Trey Metoyer? Also, Calvin Johnson started his freshman year and Beckham is behind a three star guy at Mizzou? Don't you think you might let him catch a ball before saying he will be the best?
N the state championship game against Webb City last year, he was a non factor. How that translates into his college future, I don't know.
His physical potential is off the charts, but we all know about those players who don't run quite as fast or jump quite as high, and yet perform admirably. Academics could also play a part n his success, or lack thereof. Having said all that, I wish the young man well, and would love to have made a Sooner out of him.
I'll always root for him because of how well and impressively he's handled his brothers situation. Great head on that kid. Wish him the best.
I said "in my opinion, he will prove to be"....
How many catches does Trey Metoyer have?
You make no sense crooner if you are saying he will be a star at WR and he's a second team TE. Nobody here said OU did not want him, just saying not all HS super stars make it in the big time.
True, a HS superstar does not guarantee him anything. But, with time, a season or so, I think he will prove to be the best WR in college football since "Megatron".
Who says he is second team TE?
The depth chart? I think we know how indicative of positioning a depth chart can be. Hell the great Adrian Peterson wasn't even #1 on the depth chart for his first college game, ever....
Time people, IN TIME...
In my opinion, those players actually did live up to the hype. Most recently, we came in 2nd for Rueben Randle and Julio Jones who are both key guys in the NFL. Jackson Jeffcoat seems to be a high pick if he comes out early this year. I have a tougher time remembering 5*s we came in second for who didn't live up to the hype. I'm sure there are some.
It's hilarious how many of you are already projecting DGB to fail or underachieve. I appreciated the sincere interest he gave us. I know our coaches really wanted him to be a part of our program. I wish him well and hope he is successful.
I don't think the sentiment here is that he will fail or underachieve. I think most are taking exception to the OP's assertion that DGB "will without a doubt prove to be the best college WR since Calvin 'Megatron' Johnson." Without a doubt? Since the kid has yet to play a down of college football, I think there's plenty of room for doubt.
Kind of like the "doubt", no one has about Trey Metoyer? Never played a down in college football. Again my opinion, and in my opinion, I have no doubt.
