National Recruiting Analyst
This really makes no difference to me. Sure he'd be an added bonus, but if we don't start getting some better lineman immediately then we're going to be stuffing cheeseburgers down receiver throats and making them line up at DT.
.....as long as he doesn't go to the pukes.

I'm hell when I'm well.. And, I am never sick!
Wow, some of you guys are so deep into the forest that you can't even see the trees.
I get that we need linemen... both sides of the ball. We need difference makers - dlinemen that can penetrate and disrupt and olinemen that move somebody.
But, do you really think those guys are still out there waiting to be signed in this class? No. The quality linemen of this class have already verballed elsewhere or have eliminated us from consideration.
So whether we sign Treadwell or not has ZERO bearing on incoming linemen. If he signs with Ole Miss, we're not going to suddenly land three of the top 15 line recruits. And if he surprises and does sign with us, we don't have to give up any of the handful of bigs we have committed.
Maybe you guys are just butt hurt about yet another top recruit opting to go elsewhere and you're trying to cover for it like a drunken teenager yelling "I don't need you" as the elevator doors close on your prom date as she heads up to some other guy's hotel room.
But I know this; we don't just need linemen... we need playmakers. Difference makers. Given the option between a lineman difference maker and a skill position difference maker, I'll take the big guy. Given the choice between a playmaking receiver and no one, give me Laquon Treadwell.
Look what Ryan Broyles did for this offense... when we lost him against A&M last year, our passing game never looked the same. He was a playmaker. IDK just how good Treadwell is, but he's very highly regarded for a reason. And he's a Damn sight better than signing no one.
