What are similarities, differences etc?
Both great players, but Manning is considered the stud. Huggins is a huge grade risk, and he still hasn't qualified by his grades and hasn't taken SAT yet. He was committed to A&M since the spring but because the class is so big, they gave him a time frame to qualify and he didn't. He still has time, but needs a lot of help or he will be JUCO bound.
We wanted Manning more but did recruit Huggins last Summer too. You'll note Rivals rates them both at 5.9 in their system. That ties with D.J. Ward, Cody Thomas and Keith Ford atop our commit ratings.
Here is Huggins' standing among Stoops era DT recruits:
Gerald McCoy was #1 DT, 5-stars, 6.1 RR
Demarcus Granger was #1 DT, 5*, 6.1
Lawrence Dampeer was #2 DT, 4* pre-RR
Jamarkus McFarland was #6 DT, 4*, 6.0
Jordan Phillips was #4 DE, 4*, 5.9
Stacey McGee was #8 DE?, 4*, 5.9 2008
Carl Pendleton was #9 DT, 4*, pre-RR
Marquise Anderson was #12 DT, 4*, 5.8
Kerrick Huggins is ranked #13 national DT, 4*, 5.9
Jordan Wade was #15 DT, 4*, 5.8
Remi Ayodele (Juco) was NR, 4*, NR 2004
Steven Coleman was #17 DT, 4*, pre-RR
Eric Humphrey was #17 DT, 4*, 5.8
Brian Simmons from Hargrave NR, 4*, NR (played OL)
Daniel Noble was #32 DT, 3*, 5.7
Damon Williams was #35 DT, 3*, 5.7
Torrea Peterson was #47 DT, 3*, 5.7 2010
Adrian Taylor was #52 DT, 3*, 5.6 2006
Casey Walker was #56 DT, 3*, 5.6
(maybe) Charles Walker is NR as a DT, 2*, 5.4
Corey Bennett was NR, 2*, 5.4 2004
Jordan Nix was NR at DT, 2*, 4.8 2007
My notes from 1999-2001 are missing. That means, since my wife is not a paraplegic, they have been "put where they belong"/hidden from me. They contain annotated lists of all our commits year by year, typically including the highest ranking the guy received. If they magically appear, I'll make them public to the extent they are legible or amusing.
Too much info?

I sure thought Eric Humphrey would make something.
That is great
