I'm talking about so-called OU fans who would sell a ticket to an Aggie. That's beyond pathetic. I'd burn a ticket before I let one of those yahoos get it. But seriously, if I lived in Oklahoma and had OU season tickets, I'd be there except for severe illness.
Luckily, I think many of the "I root for OSU when they're not playing OU" type of OU fan is disappearing. That's one of the great outcomes of the internet - people see those jerks for what they are, where OU is concerned. I'll never forget the gleeful cheers at Rustoleum Stadium in '79 when Billy Sims limped off the field with a minor ankle injury (luckily OU was up 38-0 at the time, and he came back the next week to torch Mizzou for 282 yards). I also haven't forgotten how proud some Poke fans were in '87 when they knocked Jamelle Holieway out of the game with a knee injury that ended his season.
I only have a couple of friends who went there, and one was an OU fan who felt obligated to go there for one year because of family tradition. So I never had any emotional conflict about Bedlam because of any pre-existing friendships. That's why I will never feel guilty about OU's historic dominance, nor will I feel bad if our stadium is too red for some people's taste.
P.S. - another thing that will happen, but shouldn't, is the annual OKC-area media love-fest for Silo Tech. I have put my folks onto KREF stations so they don't feel like throwing things when WWLS-OSU leads the charge this week.
I would hope by now that WWLS would be getting killed in the ratings. I've read on other sites that their "personalities" have gotten so arrogant that they can't imagine that those "stupid OU fans" would dare change the channel.
I even saw them cheer for Rhett Bomar's injury when they played against him at Sam Houston State. It is extremely dis-heartening to listen to them speak with jealousy and pure hatred.
Don't forget the cheap-shot just a few years ago, to take out a knee of one of our LBs.
My wife and I will be there. But, I would not sell my tickets to an OSU fan or to someone who would potentially sell one to an OSU fan. And I have a lot of family that went to OSU. But that is there problem, I won't enable wrong behavior.
I don't every sell my tickets, but every other year, I donate a pair of OU/OSU tickets for a charity auction. More people bid on them (both OU & OSU fans) and I never know which ones will win in a given year.
When I was blessed to have season tickets, I gave away tickets to games I couldn't attend. Making sure they would not go to an opposing fan. One time I gave them to a friend of a friend that was an OU fan. Unfortunately, he brought his son who attended the opposing school and did I hear it from my stadium friends. Never happened again!
I miss my seats. I grew up going to every home game. Then I purchased my own tickets when Bob Stoops was hired. I had to go on disability and couldn't afford them.
I love my Sooners but hate that I have to watch them on TV.
Sometimes it happens when we get old!
Glad to know that this board doesn't include many Aggy-sympathizers who would sell one of them a ticket.
I'm sure I'll hear a lot more when I get to Oklahoma on Thursday, about which media favors which school. I'm sure it's brutally pro-OSU everywhere but on KREF, so far this week.

It burns me as well at OU/TX when there are UT fans scattered throughout OU"s section.
Well... to be fair, they did all leave at the half...
