Clemson-Possible Destination for Venables? *

Clemson's DC resigned after 3 years and after his team gave up 70 to W. Va. (ironic). I think that would be a better fit for BV if he decides to leave. Just my opinion.

I would hate to see him leave but I agree with you on this.

I guess the AD worked at OSU and when doing so he was "enamored" with BV. Reports also that his first call for the DC job in recent days was to BV.

I really hope BV stays but a large pay increase at Clemson (or another school) may be hard to pass up. OU may give him a small raise but can't see a large raise after the poor season the defense had.

I agree SkipnKeller that Clemson would be the best fit for Brent ALSO that would keep us from having to play against him!!! I REALLY hope he stays because Brent and Mike together make up a two-headed monster that's well nigh unbeatable!

I sure hope you're wrong about the small raise indication. BV is a critical part of our recruitment and linebacker coaching. I would hope they would match Clemson or close to it. I doubt they would actually have to match it to keep him in Norman though. That is where he has raised his children and they reportedly love it there.
