They are who they showed themselves to be all year...good...but inconsistent...lots of potential unrealized...it was an accomplishment for them to string enough games together to make it as far as they did. Hopefully next season there will be more consistent urgency from beginning to end of the season. I was hopeful but doubtful when they drew South Carolina....

Perhaps you can explain how fans following the baseball and basketball teams takes away from the football program? Because I don't really see the connection.

And "who we are," by the way, includes being a very good basketball program and a solid baseball program. Not to mention a decent wrestling program, a top-notch softball program, a very good women's basketball program, one of the best gymnastics programs, a rising track and field program, and more.

We're not just a football school.

I would have to disagree...historically that is not a true or fair a statement..maybe they have not had the national success as football..but we do have other national championship teams and teams that are at the top of their respective sports on campus. Besides we are whoever wears the crimson and cream and the interlocking OU. The core is the University of Oklahoma...the message is one no matter the product or venue placed for public/private consumption. At least that is how I think as an alumnus. Whenever I see the interlocking OU my expectations are high. All of our teams fight hard and work hard. Heck I even had high expectations for our Rugby team in the national Sevens tournament that just concluded. Although football is king...it is not and should not be the only game in town from the fans perspective. Love em all...because they are all-we are all sooners for life! Boomer!

Typical bandwagon football fan. Those of us who graduated from OU are OU fans...not just football fans.
