speaking from someone who was very close to the selmons just a short note. i think a moment of silence would have been appropriate at this time and i am looking forward to the greates tribute of the most signifigant player ever to come to this great university. one last thing the sooners were 53-3-1 while a selmon was playing. EPIC STORY i hope to see the movie some day. one other thing not one of our heisman winners played on a national championship team.

I would not label it as a marketing gaffe, we are not trying to market Selmon's death or make money on his passing. How about a simple memorial service before the game.
