Here's the issue from my yogic perspective. It's got both good news and challenging news. The good news is that the commitment and discipline of the players is there. This is a good change from recent years. The challenging news is that the result, the delivery, of the intended (that being a dominating win against an opponent you were supposed to dominate) must be much better.
Evidently, the talent is there. The work, the preparation, has been preformed to the high standards and satisfaction of coach Stoops. The only thing left is to at least match up to the high expectations placed on this team. Now, it's up to coach Stoops. He's done all he can up til now. Now, he must get this team to be a team. A team can always match up higher than an individual, this is the secret of great teams.
There are a lot of new players on this years team, so let's not be to disappointed. They can be molded into a team which delivers. This is where real coaching shows. At this point a great coach almost becomes a great preacher. He somehow get his "team" to believe that they deserve matching up to the high expectations placed on them. It's much easier for this message to be accepted by a team rather than an individual. Thus, the need for team chemistry.
So, I can't wait to see coach Stoops mastery. Everything I've read about, everything I've heard him say; and my intuition verify that he can and will do it. He knows the issue and that's a big first step. This team should become worthy of it's honor through coach Stoops projection. After all, he's been there before. It will be fun to watch.
