Agree with you Bull. This board has really turned sour in many respects. Constructive discussion and opinion without negative attacks used to be the norm. I don't know if it started with the move to 247 or what but it is getting worse.
BTW Soonerdowns thanks for the write-up. My comment is that recruiting and evaluation (stars) is such an imperfect science but there is a general relationship between ratings and future success. We can all find examples of exceptions to the ratings in terms of both both diamond and busts. Plus there is the coaching factor. But like someone else said if school A had all 5 star recruits and school B had all 3 star recruits school A would beat school B 75% of the time everything else being equal. I couldn't argue with that.

Recruit rankings isn't an exact science, a lot of biases and opinions go into creating them. But if you go back and look at a lot of the NFL pro bowl caliber players I would wager that 9/10th of them were ranked 4 and 5 star recruits coming out of high school.
