True Grit

  • I thought it was a good movie with great acting.

The little girl was really great and the cast was good!

  • Great movie. I doubted Jeff could do as good a job as John Wayne did, But he did pretty good. The ending was different (Like the book) but I liked the ending in the first movie better. Most of the scenes were shot in the same location as the first one which is pretty cool. And someone asked about snowcap mountians in Oklahome? It was called the "winding stair mountians" in the movie and in southeast OK there is a range that can have snow on it just about anytime in the winter...called "Kiamichi" (sp). I've seen snow there on the North side in Oct.

You are right on the money TulsaOilman. The winding star mountains are indeed close to where I live, as are the Kiamichi mts. I thought the whole movie was spot on and the girl who played Mattie was so much better than Kim Darby. I also like the guy who played Strother Martin's part when she was trying to bargain with him on buying Little Blackie. Great remake!
