That just says no more limewire software... there are still several million people that have the software and can get on and do the deal. I still have limewire pro, and its all good!
Plus torrents are the way to go anyways, but I would imagine they are next.

Lots of ways to get free music:
1. Torrents
2. Library (you'd be surprised the collection of music CD's some libraries have).
3. Direct downloads (google search for mp3 directories)
4. Tunee Music (android app for direct downloading of mp3's)
5. beemp3.com
I'm sure the are tons more ways.

Frostwire isn't shut down though correct? Torrents for downloading music is probably a really bad idea considering you are uploading at the same time which is bad. (not that downloading music you don't own is good but you can't be prosecuted just for downloading it)

Just move your music files out of your download folder into a unlinked folder as soon as they're finished downloading

all my music comes straight off Youtube. Google MP3 converter and type in the Youtube Url.

You download the app from http://www.vuze.com/ and you search for torrents against many torrent sites.
I have been very happy so far with my quality of items I find.
And then I can upload the files to my 'dropbox' so that I can transfer files to different computers like my laptop at work.

I don't recommend BItTorrent anymore. There's a company in Germany that can upload the same file and record all the IP addresses and they'll provide the recorded IPs to the company that intends to sue or in most cases settle. They are going after not only the host of the file, they are also going after the seeders and peers for downloading that file.
Google Hurt Locker Piracy or Batman XXX Piracy. They are cracking down on those.

That hasn't been the real source for "free" music for years. As someone said, check out bit torrent (eg pirate bay, infohunt, etc).
