  • Bricktown shootings: Bail set for teen accused of shooting eight
A judge set bail at $160,000 for Avery Myers, a teen accused in Monday night's Bricktown shootings that left at least eight people injured.

A 16-year-old accused of opening fire on a crowd in Bricktown following an Oklahoma City Thunder game appeared before a judge Thursday via a video link.

Special Judge Russell Hall set bail for Avery Myers at $160,000. Myers spelled his name for the judge but didn't make any comments.

Myers faces eight complaints of shooting with intent to kill. The most seriously injured victim, Norman Richards II, 22, is hospitalized in critical condition.

A police inspector said in a court affidavit that Myers confessed to shooting into a crowd along Reno Avenue near the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Police reported that three males and a female were involved in an altercation with several of the victims when one male “pulled a gun from his waist and began shooting in the crowd.”
