    Yeah, but not from me.

In case you didn't catch it, they deleted all my previous posts without a word to me. Not sure if it was too religious or if it was because I called someone obnoxious for being obnoxious or what.

Funny how other religious posts as well as other name calling is fine...hmmm, and even here the first post is vulgar name calling and all they do is change one of the curse words.

    The reason I posted this "poll", in addition to polling was to raise awareness that ;

A.) They censored me for religious content

    and

B.) To raise awareness that if they wish to eliminate politics and religion, this board will be dead except for a few extremely bored out of their mind guys.

    Thanks.

I really don't expect most people to agree with me. Living in a world ruled by Satan, where the bible refers to worldly people as those who act according to the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience, well , if you take much of a stand for the truth you will be attacked (even by other supposed Christians).

Never the less, I am not offended and I do not intend to purposely offend or hurt others. I am blessed just to have the opportunity to discuss my faith and the things of God with others. I don't know why so many people get angry and mad and take offense.

That is supppose to be the american rights and privilages being free to openly debate. This is how the country was forged in the first place and it continues to be the way that the future is also determined.

I invite all views in the debate and discussion. Of course I believe I'm right, but who doesn't ?

Anyway, I appreciate your candid views and comments.

When you attack blacks, Muslims and homosexuals you are offending them whether you say it is on purpose or not. You have the right to do it, but that doesn't make it right. I realize that you think you are here doing the Lord's work or something, but you would be better served finding a different approach. You can't honestly expect to reach someone by treating them as second class, can you?

Hey good buddy. Thanks for expressing you views.

Obviously, we see things different. As I've said many times, I take a stand for God's truths and not man's. Clearly, that may offend some but that does not make it an attack. Some people’s word’s and opinions are offensive to me, but I don’t take that in and of itself as an attack.

Do you consider your posts as attacks on me? How can you substantiate that as being any different than what I do? Actually, I think much of what you do is personal attacks, but it doesn't bother me.Many times you accuse me of things falsely such as here, but I will let people judge that for themselves.

Jesus made a tremendous statement once concerning judgment when He said, "John 5:30 By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and ... ... "I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just,
because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me."

I only have a small measure of that right now but more and more each day , I hope. This is why I am not concerned with men judging me, because it is greatly flawed. Of course you claim I judge all the time when in fact all I do is state the facts of God which requires no judgment of my own at all. If He says it , I believe it.

Jesus can judge because he lived without sin, you have not and therefore should not be judging anyone. To make it even simpler, you shouldn't judge anyone because you're a bigot and a racist. How you can for a second worry about someone else when your own problems are so clear is beyond me. You're a sad person and I feel bad for you.

I realize you know little to nothing about Christianity yet you still insist on trying to school people about their faith.

    Let me help you out on this subject of sin, friend. Jesus was not only without sin, but He died to eliminate the offense of sins for not only you and me but every person who has ever lived. He told men that if He had not come and accomplished what He did, men would not be guilty of sin. Two main points here ;
    1. He proved that while living as a man it was indeed possible for a man to chose God for His life and living and thereby not committing sins. He did not walk the earth as God but as a man who relied upon God for His life and living. He was the perfect man and model for us.

    2. Because He was the perfect man, without blemish, He was qualified to be the supreme and complete sacrifice for the sins of all men.

Having accomplished both of these means this ; the pardon has been secured by His blood sacrifice so that all men need do is repent of their sins and the sinful nature they were born with and turn to God away from their independent lives. Since the sins of all men had been covered by His blood, now the only offense which condemns men is in rejecting His gracious redemption.

This is why it is important to help people recognize their sins which are the result of the sin nature within us all. Once they are conscious of these, their own conscience through the help of the Holy Spirit brings men to repentance. At this point, they can either accept or reject salvation. Previously man could have said , I had no choice because I was born with a sin nature, but now we are given a choice of being born again without reference to sin in Him.

Again, I tell you, we Christians do not point out sins to judge, but to bring to the hearts of men the awareness of sins which leads to repentance which then leads to salvation.

How you could be a Christian and not understand this is beyond me.

All Jesus did was to demonstrate how to love his fellow man, heal the sick and blind, speak of the love of GOD, raise the dead and cast out demons from humans; yet secularism rejects Him and Jesus was judged by those that feared His teachings, so, they crucified Jesus which was part of God's great plan. Malcom X was correct in his statement but Jesus said for us to talk about Him and to let the world (& you) know that Jesus set the standard of living and gave that standard to us in His Word, the Bible.
Soonerman is just doing what most of us (as Christians) should do. He paraphrases & quotes the scriptures and just look how many wish to reject the WORD.
So in answer to the part of the first post: I like mustard, sweet pickle relish and onions on my hot-dog.

Why are you so afraid of argument ? I'm not. I look at it as the simple process of sorting things out. The only reason for any fear is when one cannot control his feelings.

There is a very appropriate saying, that perfect love casts out fear. Isn’t perfect love the goal of all people in the end? Then why not pursue and embrace the perfect love ? God is perfect love by the way, so that to embrace and obtain this we must embrace Him. In doing so , He also becomes our wisdom from above. This part and parcel of the abundant life and isn’t that what you really seek, bruthaman ?

No man is privy to know all things in this world, however so that we then must have discourse so as to sort these things out. My way, is in bringing awareness to the many truths of God and to then engage in discourse so as to bring attention to truth and really compel people to deal with this most serious eternal issue.

The end result is that people will become divided and this also is according to God’s plan of identifying who will be His people and who will not. As for me, to reject me or what I say is irrelevant. I am just a little messenger boy and as such I do not get offended or enraged if someone opposes or rejects the message.

I have to disagree with you on this one point though where you said the following ,

"I like mustard, sweet pickle relish and onions on my hot-dog."

You see, I HATE relish. I say the proper condiments are mustard, chili, onions and cheese with some mild peppers.

Please do not be offended or feel like I am attacking you for your beliefs but I simply cannot agree with you on this point. In my view, relish is detestable.

  • The reason you will always end up in an arguement is that nobody knows which religion is right. You follow what you think is right, but do you really know? You think you know and have to trust in it, but there are so many variations and styles of worship, just who has it right? Do Christians have it right? Budhist? Muslims? Hindu? Whos right? Then, if you think you do have it right, does that give anyone just cause to go and tell everyone else they are wrong?

Name calling does not hurt me in the least. I cannot even think of one reason why it would or should.

That's one of the benefits of the riches of Christ I guess, in that since it is no longer "I" who live but Christ in me, your words have no meaning or impact on "myself". For those who abide in Christ, the "myself" is dead and gone. It does not exist having been crucified with Christ. You can insult a dead man all you want and he will not get offended or mad in the least.

I am truly sorry yo cannot understand these words.

My simple point, which is difficult for you to fathom, is you love to call me names for supposedly calling people names , but you cannot see your name calling.

If there is no absolute truth, then our existance is futile and vain and you may as well eat, drink and be merry because to morrow we die !

Those who wish to know the absolute truth and are willing to accept it as it exists, these are the ones that are said to be OF the truth and of THE only true God. God Himself is truth, And His Spirit of truth guides the seekers and receivers to truth in direct proportion to their hunger for it.

All I can say is it would be a very insecure prediciment indeed to be relying upon subjective, changing truths. This gives a person no firm footing or foundation upon which to build his life.

There is nothing more dangerous in this world than a man with nothing to lose.

So, what truth is the absolute truth?

That is the same question Pilate asked of Jesus after He had made the statement , " For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” 38Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?”

The truth personified stood before Pilate and he still asked Him what is truth. Jesus is truth personified.

You know my answer...it is Jesus through whom all things were created. He said, " "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

As I said before however, it is perfectly fine to argue or discuss this point in an honest effort to come to the knowledge of the truth. Even Christian's who found the truth, still have a journey in coming to a full knowledge.

I could also add that Satan helps provide further clarity on truth since he is the antithesis epitomized and personified. Satan, being the father of all lies, makes the truth all the more brilliant.

If my words had no meaning or impact you wouldn't keep responding. You can call it name calling or attacks or whatever you want, but your words are wrong. I'm not calling you a bigot to hurt you. I'm calling you a bigot because you are one. Simple concept. In fact I thought you would have admitted it by now and quoted a scripture supporting your position.

The things you say and the justifications that you give are the same ones TV preachers use, terrorists use, genocidal dictators have used, etc. What you say is nothing people haven't heard for centuries, but it is new to college message boards. Congrats on being the first!

    OU_dup

  • What I meant was that your words have no impact on me personally, but because this is a public forum, I do not write simply for your eyes only. Since I write concerning the truth, all those who are of the truth or are seeking it, may read these and enjoy a fellowship of sorts with the truth.

This fellowship is a strong basis for building up fellow believers. This is greatly lacking in churches today where you are only permitted to sit down, shut up and listen.

As for calling me names, a bigot is not the only word you have used or otherwise implied. Though I could be considered a bigot in some form, I would not except this label in a general way because too much could be implied that would be false. I am tolerant of people (you as well) because love compels me so, but I am certainly intolerant of anything that opposes truth and my God. Of necessity, we all must be intolerant of certain things. Dirt is great for growing produce, but I cannot tolerate it in the produce when I’m eating it.

Anyway, at least I finally brought you to the point where you can identify in yourself at least, that a person can call someone a name without the intent of harm. If you can see how that is possible for you than perhaps that is also the first step in realizing that this might be the case with me as well. No?

    Thanks for the thoughful dialogue.
