  • It wasn't this dramatic. The regulars who left were replaced, and so it will be again. I anticipate a moderate jump in activity after signing day, when people still have the website on their internet cache but actual football content isn't as plentiful. And in terms of long-term activity, the OC on this website will always be able to recover because there are new people coming here for content, news, (eventually) video, etc. Put another way: no one ever typed 'OUInsider.com' into their web browser to find the off-topic board.

    I miss some of the regulars because their 'characters' were very entertaining. But in my short lifetime and travels I've discovered that there's good people just about everywhere. And more good people (and a few bad ones) will show their smiling emoticons here in the future.

  • No not at all. The last one went very well and almost everyone jumped right on board.

    People were unhappy at Scout so when OUinsider left many liked it.
    Remember Scout used EZboard format which was pretty good and then "built" their own and threw in at Ouinsider when it wasn't done and full of glitches much like what this move has been.

    People didn't like scout/ouinsider changing from ezboards at all. So when Ouinsider left for the last version and on their own (but quickly signed with ESPN) people were happy.
    Vbulletin is a great format and most posters stayed.

    This move was/is a colossal screw up and many, many posters have left.
    These boards are dead right now. Dead. The last move was nothing like this no matter who is spinning it.

  • If they truly want more people to consider using this board, they need to fix the refresh rate, it takes so long to load each page when you move forward or backward, it makes looking elsewhere more inviting. I know I get frustrated at times and don't spend as long as I used to at OUI.

    The world and people in it take on a completely different look when viewed through my rose colored glasses.
