    Poor job by Admin letting this go on for 4 pages. If the OP had posted a thread about a Muslim holiday it would have been removed immediately as this one should have. Just because the majority of readers are Christians doesn't mean this is the proper forum.

  • I don't see what the big deal is with this particular thread. Funny thing is I don't see TyreSooner busting Taun's chops when he posts those threads on astronomy......clearly a non-football related topic(not that I mind Taun, they are great). Why should this one be any different. Kind of like television programming; if it's something you don't want to watch, just change the channel. Way too big a deal has been made out of this.

    Go ahead and believe what you want, base it on the bible that has so many logical falsehoods it is laughable that even one person believes it. There is not one eye witness account of any of jesus' or his diciples actions or interactions it was all cobbled together by 10th century priests. Even the 4 gospels were written decades or centuries after the facts. Romans who kept great records about court proceedings have very little record of anything that happened to a jesus and his followers. There is not one account of the resurrection outside the bible's account. It is all hersey passed on by word of mouth. And yet there you are believeing it as 100% correct.

    Only sheep need a shepard so go ahead and bow to superstition and ceremony and be blind in the face of facts.

    Evolution has been proven over and over, but peopel like you who have a need for the bible to be true just ignore the science and proof and cling to your ignorance. I am not threatened by these posts but apalled by the group ignorance being displayed.

  • Agree with others that this is simply an inappropriate place to have political and religious discussions. This is a forum where we all are Sooner Fans first, and I'd like the focus to remain on that alone. Not our personal religious beliefs or political leanings.

    AFAIK, the mod "team" here consists of 1 person, so there is not always going to be a very fast response like on other highly trafficked forums. I have sent a PM to this person though ("oumodguy") requesting this thread be locked and others similar to it in the future be locked or moved to the off topic forum.

  • This is a little late, but, He has risen indeed! And if He has, then it wouldn't have been by magic (whatever that is), but by the Creator and Sustainer of the universe (which, by the way, would not contradict any current scientific models of the universe). :-)

  • Unfortunately, this thread proves what's wrong with the world now. There's too many self proclaimed know it alls that chose to slap God in this face. Everyone will have their judgement day and I just hope the few who haven't heard the Truth yet, will. Faith is believing in something you can't see. Easter is the most important day in our calender year. Because had He not triumphed death and had He not risen then everything we as Christians know wouldn't have the same meaning. But He did overcome, He did triumph and in a way only He can.

    If you didn't want to see it, don't open the thread. It's that easy, unless you're just dying for attention, which seems to be the case.
