Hey guys.....I'm going to set up an account for my daughter and my family and was wanting to know what you guys like best for an online trading site. I have my series 7, 66, & 3 so I really dont feel like I need to go with a big broker house because I can do this on my own. Thanks.
I have accounts with ameritrade smithbarney, price, schwab and others. I really think that Schwab does it best. They may not be the absolute cheapest, but $9 trades, abilitiy to link accounts, ease of use, decent research, etc. put them a notch above every other service I have used. I like schwab better than the others.
I have an etrade acct and have no problems with it. 9.99 trades and there is a lot of nice research on their site. I would recommend it to anyone from a novice to experienced trader.
I have Trade King. $4.95 trades. Easy to set up. Etc. Works great.
I have scottrade and really like it. Didn't like etrades fees and inactivity fees

I use Scottrade and like it a lot. But you really can't go wrong with most of the big-name players.
Follow the advice of all the great investors: Buy and index fund and stick with it.
I have 7 accounts with Schwab. I really like it. I don't have the perspective of other companies though. I hvent considered switch from schwab, if that means anything to you.
Speculation continues that E-trade will be bought out by one of the bigger houses in the next year or two so it might not be a good choice at this point.
It has been a week since E*TRADE Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: ETFC) reported earnings. We have also seen earnings this week from TD AMERITRADE Holding Corporation (NASDAQ: AMTD), and The Charles Schwab Corporation (NYSE: SCHW) has its interim business update this morning. We have long considered E*TRADE as a future buyout candidate, and the case for [...]
