Business college in Top 10
The Norman Transcript
NORMAN — The entrepreneurship program in the University of Oklahoma’s Michael F. Price College of Business ranks in the top 10 of undergraduate programs nationally, according to a list compiled by Entrepreneur magazine in conjunction with The Princeton Review.
OU placed 10th in the magazine’s list of top 25 undergraduate programs. The rankings were released Monday.
“This top 10 national ranking for the OU entrepreneurship program is another example of the contribution of the university to a more dynamic future for our state,” said OU President David L. Boren.
Rankings are based on teaching entrepreneurship business fundamentals in the classroom, excellence in mentorship, and providing experience or business opportunities outside of the classroom, among other aspects of the program.
“We have made significant contributions and advancements to the student experience, such as pitch competitions, corporate visits to San Francisco and Austin, and our continued strong showing in national business competitions,” said Jim Wheeler, Stanley White executive director and co-founder of the entrepreneurship program.
Amy Cosper, vice president and editor-in-chief at Entrepreneur, said, “The right education enhances and reinforces curiosity and creative thinking in entrepreneurs. This ranking provides a unique look at top schools that offer the type of training, encouragement and direction that nurtures entrepreneurial skills.”

Congrats to the Entrepreneur program. They are good. Here is an excerpt from a recent article about OU students who receive giant scholarships:
"The scholarship package OU offered was a huge incentive for Mohammad-Zadeh, who is now a senior studying economics and international studies.
The other schools she had considered — Duke University and UC-Berkeley — didn't offer substantial scholarships for National Merit Scholars, Mohammad-Zadeh said.
“Higher education is just so expensive these days,” Mohammad-Zadeh said. “I just wanted to make the most of the scholarships that were available.”
She used her travel stipend to go to Chile and Peru the summer after her freshman year. This weekend, she is returning from a trip to Costa Rica, where she visited social entrepreneurship centers."
