Anyone participating? What do you think so far? I've considered it, but haven't taken the plunge.
I'm on average billing. I use less than the average for my apartment and so they credited my account. I haven't paid an electric bill in 5 months. :)
Lucky you, that sounds nice!
I’ve been on a program like SmartHours for 10 years and I save about $100 a month during the summer. All you need to do is make a few changes in how you use electricity and you can save. Full disclosure, I work for OG&E but I still save money on the program.
I have saved $200 per month in June, July, August on this program. You can know hour to hour how much electricity you are using, how much it costs, and which hours to avoid using additional electricity. They vary the rate each day between 2 and 7 depending on the temp, so you usually want to avoid anything but cooling the house during that time, Just doing that will save a ton and you can still stay on average billing. My monthly payment is the lowest it has been in five years
Wow! Talk about coming back from the dead. How's it going man? ;-)
