I guess there is a chance of a 3+ hour long wedding but I'm guessing a slightly longerthan normal wedding that gives people plenty of time to meet abd geet at the wedding location and travel to the reception location. I would also expect there to be a opne bar at the reception location as well.

I got an invitation to a wedding that starts at 2:00, it also states that the reception begins at 6:00. Do you think it is possible the wedding lasts that long or could there be a break between the wedding and the reception? The reception is at a different location.

Sounds like you don't have to be anywhere until 6...

My first wife and I were Catholic and our wedding was a Full Mass and it lasted three and half hours, the marriage lasted 20 yrs but the wedding was the longest thing I had ever been to other than an OU football game.
The one Catholic wedding I attended was 2-3 hours, then guests had about an hour to get to the reception hall. Very similar type of times as you are seeing.
I was ready to leave after about an hour.
