Bob is at the podium, here we go.
"Very pleased overall with the overall execution of the team"
"We took care of the football, I think that was a major factor."
"Solid win, and hopefully one we can build on."
"It was excited to see so many young guys get in and do well."
Players of the game on defense. Casey Walker, Javon Harris, and Aaron Colvin.
Players of the game on offense...Landry Jones and Justin Brown.
Will Stacy Mcgee play? "No"
Bob just stated that they believe Nila Kasitati tore his ACL on Saturday.
How did Millard play? "Played well, ran the ball well but missed a block or two which is unusual for him."
What about McFarland?
How good is this Texas defense? "I believe they're a really good defense when you look at the personel running around."
How is your secondary playing? "Really well."
On Texas defensive ends Alex Okafor and Jackson Jeffcoat. "Great rushers and defenders. They're a handful there's no doubt."
Does this OU-Texas game have the same feel as some of the past since both teams have one loss? "Absolutly. In my eyes it does."
On using the Belldozer on 3rd and 3 on Saturday. "I think it's how confident we feel about it, and how well they're defending it."
On Texas' Wildcat formation. "Very fast. We're going to have to spend a lot of time on it."
"It's hard to make improvements when you're not playing games."
Metoyer's development? "Nothing wrong. There's just certain situations you can't force it to a guy."
Who graded out the best on the offensive line? "Lane Johnson graded out pretty well, and Gabe Ikard."
That's it for Bob today. A post presser wrap up will be posted shortly on this thread.
Wrap-up and Final thoughts:
Bob seemed in good spirits today, and rightfully so after his team's performance in Lubbock. As a whole he felt his team played very well, and singled out a lot of guys for their play on Saturday.
Stacy McGee's status was asked about today. Bob said that he will not play this weekend, and that he will inform the media when his status is available.
Bob praised Landry Jones' play often, and felt he played his best game of the year so far. He was asked if the offensive coordinators put Landry in a better position to succeed, and Bob agreed that it was one of the reasons he played so well. "I think it's fair to say with what we were doing on offense, it gave him a better chance to succeed."
More bad news for the offensive line as Bob announced that the staff believes Nila Kasitati tore his ACL on Saturday.
Texas' defense has looked impressive thus far in Big 12 play, but Bob mentioned how quick and athletic they really are. He pointed out to look at the great players they have on that side of the ball.
Bob said the offensive coaches did change some things during the bye week ,and that they added a few wrinkles.
One thing Bob really mentioned, is how important it is for OU to be able to run the ball against Texas. "It's extremely important, especially in this game."
A question was brought up asking if this OU-Texas game has a little less importance now that both teams have a loss. Bob quickly shot that down, and you can tell that he realizes how big of a game this is considering that the winner is still in the Big 12 race, and the loser is eliminated.
The question of do you still have the same hunger and passion arose. Bob quickly responded by saying "How could you not?"
David Ash's improvement is something Bob has noticed, but he brought up the point that all quarterbacks will improve as they get more experience in the system.
Bob seemed proud of his offensive line play, and singled out Lane Johnson and Gabe Ikard for their performances. He felt they were very effective on Saturday.
Trey Metoyer's slow start was asked about. Bob basically said that you can't force it to a guy just so you can get him catches. He said that you have to hit the guy that's open and not worry about one particular player. Bob feels they feel the offense is at their best when they do that.
An injury to Metoyer's shoulder was also brought up, but Bob said it's nothing serious and that he will be just fine.
Other than Kasitati's injury, there were no other injuries that were announced, and it seems that everyone else will be good to go on Saturday.
Bob knew how big of a game it was on Saturday, the way his team played seemed to make him a little less edgy, and a little more confident. Basically, he said that the difference on Saturday was that they took care of the ball, and forced some turnovers of their own. Bob really likes how his secondary is playing right now, and has a lot of confidence in the unit. He knows there's a lot on the line this Saturday, and how important it is to establish a running game. The unit that can't afford anymore injuries is the offensive line. Kasitati's injury is a very unfortunate blow, as he's the team leading back up. Austin Woods will now have to step in for Kasitati, and prove that he can be just as effective.
Bob is pleased, but he knows that Saturday is an even bigger game. He mentioned that Texas' Wildcat formation is something they're really gonna have to play well against. There was a completly different feel than there was a week ago. The team's goals are still reachable, and Bob really believes they can reach all of them if they continue to play well.

If it wasn't for bad luck, we wouldn't have any luck at all on the offensive line. Sheesh...
And what is it with us and losing young offensive linemen in Lubbock. 2005 it was Jon Cooper, 2009 was when Habern broke his leg I believe. Hey Tech...you want to prove you are big time? Get rid of that bulls*** astro-turf!!!
Edit: maybe it's just bad luck. Tech did get rid of the astro-turf and now has FieldTurf.
