    • I'm not sure why anyone would consider KSU moving up to #1 a surprise. Once Bama's loss was secure it was all but a certainty.

    • I find it a bit ridiculous that Florida and Bama are rated so high.

I can see why you might question Florida's ranking considering their offensive struggles, but why do you consider Bama's ranking ridiculous?

      Matteon

    • Because Bama lost and they did it at home.

    • They lost at home to #15. We lost to a team that is now #1 and #3 and WE dropped like a rock and have now stayed there.

    • They also lost at home to a middle of the road Big 12 team. The SEC has 4 or 5 good teams and the rest Suck. As a whole the conf. is over-rated. Just like the Ducks they have Not beaten any team with less than 3 losses and the voters Love them. Why??

Looking at a team's schedule really only helps establish that team's floor, not their ceiling.

When we lost to KSU we fell further, but there were also more undefeated teams at the time. When we lost a second time there were more one loss teams than there are now as well. Also, even with that in mind, we did not fall like a rock, we lost twice and fell to just outside the top 10.

IMO, our ranking is based less on the quality of our lossses and more on the quality of our wins (zero wins against BCS top 10). It also hurts us that we only have one remaining game against a team in the BCS Top 25 (OSU). Unfortunately, I think we're right where we belong.

    • The idea that there are 6 SEC teams better than the 2nd best Big 12 team is a complete joke. Furthermore, Clemson and FSU have not proven they deserve to be ahead of OU based on their play on the field.

Now wonder the SEC was pushing for there to not be a conference championship requirement for the playoff. They could find themselves in a 4 game SEC payoff for the NC based on the BS term "eye test" from voters.

There is no way that aTm would be ranked #8 if they were still Big 12.

Hopefully, the Big 12 shows up for the bowl season.
