OU's Steven Pledger
Despite 12 points apiece from Steven Pledger and Je’lon Hornbeak Oklahoma was not able to come back from an 11-point deficit and lost to Stephen F. Austin 65-55.
The Sooners used an 18-6 spurt to take their final lead of the game, 52-51, with 4:40 left in regulation. But, Stephen F. Austin responded with a three-point play with 2:58 left, and the Sooners tied it at 54-54 on the next possession via a Steven Pledger jumper.
The Lumberjacks were able to hit a pair of free throws which turned out to be the game winning points with 1:04 remaining. Buddy Hield went to the line with four seconds remaining but was only able to convert one of the free throws.
OU returns to action on December 29th when the Sooners host Ohio.
