Sooners No. 5 in Latest AP Poll

Following Saturday night's 24-7 win over UTEP, the Oklahoma Sooners have dropped to fifth in this week's Associated Press College Football Poll.

This marks the 382nd week that OU has been ranked in the Top 5 of the AP Poll, more weeks than any other team since the service began in 1936. In fact, Oklahoma is the most illustrious program in the poll's history with the most weeks at No. 1 (101), in the Top 2 (199) and in the Top 10 (533).

Six of the remaining 11 opponents on OU's schedule are ranked including No. 9 West Virginia, No. 17 Texas, No. 18 Oklahoma State, No. 20 TCU, No. 21 Kansas State and No. 22 Notre Dame.

The latest Coaches Poll has not yet been released.
