Aaryn Ellenberg scored 24 points to lead Oklahoma to an 82-54 win over TCU. Ellenberg led all scorers by shooting 10 of 16 from the field and four of seven from behind the arc. Sharane Campbell added 17 points while coming off the bench for Oklahoma.

"I thought we had a fantastic crowd tonight but unfortunately we didn’t give them a whole lot to cheer about mid-way through the first half," said Sooner Head Coach Sherri Cole.

The Sooners fell off the intensity barometer and went flat and that is something Cole says cannot happen.

"We got a little flat and lifeless and I don’t blame the crowd for not being into it but when we turned it up a notch, the crowd responded and we started to get things going."

Natalie Vantress led the Horned Frogs with 14 points as they fall to 6-6 on the year. With the win the Sooners improve to 8-3 on the season and have now won five straight games.

With 4:58 remaining in the first half, TCU Head Coach Jeff Mittie was slapped with a double technical and ejected from the game for arguing a Morgan Hook three-pointer with one second remaining on the shot clock. Mittie was upset because he thought that OU shouldn’t have had the one second they had to shot it and was subsequently asked to leave the floor.

"I thought that got us fired up," said Sooner guard Whitney Hand. "It was a seven point swing with the 3-pointer and then the 4 free throws."

Morgan Hook who had a good night with 12 points and 3 assists said that she had never seen anything like the ejection that happened in the first quarter.

"Maybe in high school but I have never seen it on the college level," said Hook.

On the night the Sooners shot just over 47 percent from the field and 40 percent from three-point range. The Sooners forced 23 turnovers while committing 26 turnovers themselves.

"That is the first thing I talked to the team about was the turnovers," said Coach Cole. "But I need to point out that 13 of those 26 were committed by true freshman guards that handled the ball more than they usually would because of the lead we had but it is still inexcusable."

The Sooners have a week off until they start Big 12 conference play by hosting Iowa State next Wednesday night.
