NORMAN, Okla. — It’s frigid cold outside, but the Sooners kept things quite warm inside the Lloyd Noble Center, downing the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders 78-56 Thursday afternoon.
A basically balanced scoring attack outside of that featured four other Sooners with eight or more points, all combining for 45 percent as a squad.
The Islanders were led by forward Rashawn Thomas, who managed a double-double of 12 points and 10 boards, while point guard John Jordan put in 10 points.
OU limited A&M-Corpus Christi to 38 percent shooting and turned the visitors over 20 times for 22 points.
The Sooners move to 7-1 on the season and next take on George Mason in the BB&T Classic at 12 p.m. CT Sunday in Washington, D.C.
They’ll return to the Lloyd Noble Center a week from Saturday.
